Minister of State for Employment Affairs and Retail Businesses


The Minister of State for Employment Affairs and Retail Businesses is a junior ministerial post in the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment of the Government of Ireland.
The position previously existed from 1994 to 2011 with the title of Minister of State for Labour Affairs, and from 2014 to 2016 as Minister of State for Business and Employment. The position was abolished in March 2011 before its revival in the July 2014 reshuffle that saw the position mainly restored, under its current title, with additional responsibility for establishing a low pay commission and small and medium business.
The current incumbent is Damien English, TD who was appointed in July 2020.
