Mirax-Plaza Ukraine


The Mirax-Plaza Ukraine is an unfinished building in Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is located in the central Podilskyi district. If completed, at it would surpass the residential complex Klovski Descent 7A as the tallest building in Ukraine. The project suggests class-A office space, as well as retail and residential space.

History

Construction on the building began on December 22, 2006, and was initially expected to end in 2010. Due to the financial crisis of 2007-2009, the construction was put on hold. In May 2009 it was reported that Mirax Group had been in negotiations with the Russian :ru:Корпорация AEON|AEON Corporation to sell the project. Some six months later, AEON Corporation acquired the share in the project and announced plans to correct the existing concept and commence construction in the autumn of 2010. By February 2010, 11 floors of the building had been constructed.
Since then, there have been no attempts to renew construction or announcements of such attempts.
