Miss Universe 2020 will be the 69th Miss Universe pageant. Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Selection of participants

A number of delegates will be selected to compete in the pageant. Due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, Carmen Jaramillo, Chantal Wiertz, and Mariah Tibbetts have been appointed by their local franchises to represent their countries, following the postponement of their countries' national competitions until 2021. They were previously the first runners-up of Señorita Panamá 2019, Miss Universe Curaçao 2019, and Miss Universe Cayman Islands 2019 respectively.
