Mizoram Football Association


Mizoram Football Association is the state governing body of football in Mizoram, India. It is affiliated with the All India Football Federation, the national governing body. Mizoram Football enthusiasts started Aizawl Sport Association in 1945. It was re-established again in 1956 under leadership of Sangliana. After 1972, the name was changed from Aizawl Sport Association to Mizoram Sports Association. In 1973 under the guidance of Shri Lal Thanhawla, Football started as a separate unit and took the name Mizoram Football Association. MFA was registered under Society Act in the year 1980. MFA is operating for the State Mizoram covers 8 District. All the 8 District Football Associations affiliate under MFA.
