Mohammed Sadiq (diplomat)


Mohammed Sadiq is a retired Pakistani diplomat.
Muhammad Sadiq was born in the Zaida village of Swabi and spent his childhood in Sindh where his father Mr. Salim Khan used to run a hotel.
Currently he holds the position as Chairman/CEO of Sid Group of Companies. Moreover recently he has been appointed by the government of Pakistan as special representative to Afghanistan. Before his retirement he served as Federal Secretary for the National Security Division. He retired from the Pakistan Government in October, 2016. He served as Pakistan's ambassador to Afghanistan,.
He has held a number of other senior posts within the Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington, D.C. as Minister/Deputy Chief of Mission in August 2002. As Deputy Ambassador to the United States, Mr. Sadiq launched the first ever internship program by the Pakistan Embassy. He also conducted a comprehensive study of Pakistani American community and worked with Pakistan American community to establish the Pakistan Caucus at Capitol Hill.
