Mohd Irfan Fazail
Mohamad Irfan bin Fazail is a Malaysian footballer currently mainly plays as a Midfielder for Johor Darul Ta'zim II in the Malaysia Premier League.
Irfan, alongside Fadhli Shas, is the first Malaysian to play at the Slovak League with FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce.Career
Irfan Fazail was born in Pontian, Johor. He was raised in Johor Bahru and starting playing football for local clubs. He left Johor to attend the national Bukit Jalil Sports School. He later joined the SSBJ Football team in the President Cup Malaysia during his time with Bukit Jalil.
After he graduated from the Bukit Jalil Sports School, He joined Harimau Muda in 2008. Irfan, alongside Wan Zack Haikal Wan Noor and Mohd Fandi Othman, Harimau Muda became a powerful team and was crown the 2009 Premier League champions under the management of Ong Kim Swee.
When Harimau Muda was split into two teams, Irfan was chosen to be in the A team. Irfan and 25 other Harimau Muda A players were chosen by Azraai Khor to participate in an 8 month long, training camp in Zlaté Moravce, Slovakia.
In September 2011, Irfan had played for the Slovakian team, FC ViOn Zlaté Moravce for a 3-month loan from Harimau Muda A. Irfan made his debut with the team in a 3–0 win against AS Trenčín, coming on the 86th minute replacing Martin Hruška. Irfan returned to Harimau Muda A shortly after his national duty in the 2011 SEA Games. In total, Irfan manage to make 2 official appearance for Zlaté Moravce.International career
Irfan represented the U-17 Malaysia football team in the 2007 AFF U-17 Youth Championship. Irfan appeared in 4 matches and scored 5 goals, including a hat trick in a 7-0 thumping against Brunei.
Irfan made his first appearance for the Malaysia national under-19 football team in 2009 in the 2009 AFF U-19 Youth Championship. Irfan appeared in 4 games but did not managed to score any goals. Malaysia overall finished 4th place.
After Irfan made a big impact for Harimau Muda, He was again chosen to
represent the Malaysia national Under-19 team in the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship qualification. Irfan appeared in 4 games and made 3 assists to give him a man of the match award against Philippines in a 4–2 win. However, Malaysia later did not managed to qualify the 2010 AFC U-19 Championship.
Irfan scored his first goal for the Malaysian Olympic Team against the Singapore under-23 Team in a 2–0 win. He again scored a goal with a volley for the Olympic team in a 2–0 win against Pakistan Olympic Team. Irfan scored his third goal against Lebanon Olympic Team to help Malaysia win 2–1.
In July 2011, Irfan was called up to represent Malaysia Selection against Chelsea.
Irfan made his debut with the senior national team on 6 September 2016, as a starter in the friendly match against Indonesia, which Malaysia lost 0–3.Statistics
