Mope


"Mope" is the fourth single released from American music band the Bloodhound Gang's 1999 album Hooray for Boobies. A music video for the single was released in June of 2000.

Samples

The song contains samples of several songs, including Falco's "Rock Me Amadeus", Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Relax", Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and the theme of Pac-Man. It also samples Homer Simpson's quote "Holy macaroni!" from The Simpsons episode "Treehouse of Horror VI."

The single also includes the "Cousin Mike" video for "The Ballad of Chasey Lain" and has track 6 listed as "Tic Tac Toe – Remus Pops Jefferson Game" which is a tic-tac-toe board design on the CD itself, with the centre hole representing the first move. In the liner notes the listener is encouraged to post the CD to Remus Pops Jefferson if they have no-one to play with – a postal address is included.
