Palmer Land

Antarctica
. It was
discovered
by the
Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition
, 1947–48, led by
Finn Ronne
, who named the mountain for
Theodore Roosevelt McElroy
of
Boston
, who contributed the
radio
and
communication
instruments
for the
expedition
.
