Mount Vernon Triangle Historic District


The Mount Vernon Triangle Historic District is a historic area in the Mount Vernon Triangle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., consisting of 24 contributing buildings near the corner of K St. and 5th St, NW. The area was once working class and was home to semi-industrial enterprises such as a dairy and an automobile repair shop.
Constructions dates range from 1869 to 1931. They include 444-46, 460-62, 468-72, and 502-06 K Street, 915-923, 924 and 927-935 5th Street,
front entrances at 443-55 I Street, rear entrances at 449-53 I Street, 457-59 Massachusetts Avenue, and 902 3rd Street, all in the NW quadrant.
