Mousa Kalantari
Mousa Kalantari was an Iranian politician and former cabinet minister in the government of Abolhassan Banisadr. Kalantari was killed in a terrorist attack on 28 June 1981, when a bomb exploded during a party conference martyring him and 32 other leading politicians. In this meeting Kalantari was the main candidate to become the next prime minister of Iran. The Islamic Republic first claimed the bomb was planted by the Tudeh Party, but also accused SAVAK, Mehdi Tafari, Iraqi agents, People's Mujahedin of Iran, United States, and "international mercenaries".
