Muresk Institute
Muresk Institute is an educational and training facility based in Northam, situated approximately east of Perth, in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Until 1985 it was known as Muresk Agricultural College. The institute was initially managed by Curtin University, in 2012 the responsibility for Muresk's operation was transferred from Curtin University to the State Government. The Department of Training and Workforce Development established Muresk Institute as a multi-tenanted, multi-functional facility for training, higher education, research, professional development and learning extension.
The College was established in 1926 by the Western Australian Government and eventually handed over to the Western Australian Institute of Technology in 1969. Situated on 898 hectares of research and farming land, Muresk provides access to contemporary learning spaces and the latest innovation in technology, processes and equipment.
Located in an open, rural setting Muresk is an attractive and highly equipped conference and accommodation venue suitable for corporate and community events.
Muresk Institute offers two higher education courses. The first being the Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management Run in conjunction with Charles Sturt University and Central Regional TAFE. The second being the Diploma of Agricultural Technologies run by the University of Queensland. The Bachelor course commenced in March 2014 and the Diploma commenced in February 2015
