Nasirabad, Raibareli


Nasirabad is a Nagar panchayat and a Gram Sabha in Chhatoh Block, Rae Bareli district in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Nasirabad was named after the Sufi saint Syed Shah Nasiruddin where he stayed for a long period of time.
Nasirabad was declared a Nagar Panchayat in 2017.

Nasirabad is located at. It has an average elevation of 101 metres.

Demographics

Indian census, Nasirabad had a population of 9,353. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Nasirabad has an average literacy rate of 40%, male literacy is 48%, and female literacy is 30%.
Nasirabad has an old shiv mandir.

Sadaat of Nasirabad

One of the earliest settlements of Naqvis is from Nasirabad. Naqvi Sadats migrated from Subzwar and settled in Nasirabad around 410 Hijri. After some time the adjacent village of Patakpur was also inhabited by Momineens and renamed Nasirabad after Syed Naseerudin. Nasirabad are the earliest known Naqvi Sadats of India. Naseerabad is the native land of Khandan e Ijtihad and many high-ranking scholars have come from there. The 1st Mujtahid from India, Ayatullah il Uzma Sayyid Dildar Ali Naqvi Naseerabadi 'Gufraanmaab' was from here and later his family came to be called "Khandan e Ijtihad" due to the heavy presence of high-ranking scholars. Some famous and known religious scholars from this lineage include Syedul Ulema Ayatullah Syed Ali Naqi Naqvi 'Naqqan', Jannat Ma'ab Ayatullah Syed Taqi, Shamsul Ulama Ayatullah Syed Ibraheem, Ayatullah Aqa Hasan Sb, Ayatullah Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Kalbe Abid Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Kalbe Jawwad Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Hasan Zafar Naqvi, Zubdatul Ulama Syed Agha Mahdi Naqvi,Allama Syed Razi Jafar, Allama Nasir Ijtehadi, Dr Kalbe Sadiq, Hujjatul Islam Syed Hasan Naqvi, Hujjatul Islam Syed Ali Mohammad Naqvi, Syed Sibte Hasan Naqvi, Syed Mohammad Waris Hasan Naqvi.

Muharram observations

Muharram is observed here with great fervour and great enthusiasm. The significant importance attached to the event of martyrdom of Imam Hussain and consequently muharram has shaped the cultural evolution of Nasirabad. There are couple of grand old buildings of archaeological importance built here, which are called Imambargahs. There have been many religious leaders of pan Indian influence, with their roots from this place. Muharram observations have also helped flourished the Urdu literature, here. There have never been dearth of Urdu poets specializing in the art of 'Mersia' and 'Nauha' in Nasirabad and many of them were acclaimed as the peers of Urdu literature. Therefore, great traditional values are attached to the Muharram events and are observed by arranging religious sittings of gents and ladies. Besides these, there are Matami Juloos with recitation of Nauhas and flagging with chains.

5th Muharram : Juloos Started From Talib Husain’s House and end to Imambara Kafi Miyan. Ahead of Juloos is Alam, Zuljana, Taboot with people reciting Mersiya.
6th Muharram : Juloos.
7th Muharram : Juloos e Mehndee.
8th Muharram : Juloos e Alamdar Hazrat Abbas
9th Muharram : Juloos e Mehndee.
10th Muharram : Juloos e Ashoora.
