Natalya Antyukh


Natalya Nikolayevna Antyukh is a Russian athlete who primarily competes in the 400 metres and 400 metre hurdles. She won the gold medal in 400m hurdles at the 2012 Summer Olympics, after winning a bronze medal in the 400 m dash at the 2004 Olympics. She is the only woman to win an Olympic medal in both the 400 m hurdles and 400 m dash.
In addition to winning medals in individual contests, she has been a very successful relay runner, winning a silver medal at the 2004 Olympics.
In 2020, Antyukh among four Russian track and field athletes charged with doping offences, facing charges of using a prohibited substance or method. The Athletics Integrity Unit said the cases were based on an investigation into Russian doping for the World Anti-Doping Agency presented in 2016 by Canadian lawyer Richard McLaren.
