National Liberal Party–Tătărescu
The National Liberal Party–Tătărescu was a political party in Romania. Beginning with December 1947, the party is generally referred to as the National Liberal Party–Bejan, as leader Gheorghe Tătărescu resigned from the party and was replaced by Petre Bejan.History
The party resulted from a split in the National Liberal Party, with the faction around Gheorghe Tătărescu, the party's general secretary, establishing a distinct party organisation in late 1944. In April, 1946 the party opted to join the pro-government Bloc of Democratic Parties. In the November 1946 elections the Bloc won 347 of the 414 seats, with the PNL-T taking 75. In the 1948 elections it ran as PNL-Bejan, in opposition to the government coalition, only receiving 7 seats.Electoral history
