He is an active and cheerful boy who likes to skateboard and is good at sports, but like Jin and Kotaro, he is having a hundred percent problems of academics. He is friends with Saneyasu and Kazutaka whom he always plays soccer with. He dreamed that a giant gear crashed onto his home which converted him very strangely after Great Ganbaruger saved Earth months prior. Once, he was cursed by the Mechanical Empire into a mechanical cyborg for a few days temporarily for some time, but after a brief and bruised battle with the combined lifeforces and powers of the Four Great Machine Kings' new forme, the Machine Great King, he returned to being a human for the time being. After a harsher battle between themselves and the Emperor, the most powerful Kikaijin, he graduated from Harukaze Elementary along with the Saurers.

;Yoji Hiyama
An indecisive nerd and teacher's pet, who is a real bookworm and the heir to the elite family, though the Hiyama clan disapproved of the fact. Personally, he has a crush on the Class 6-3's homeroom teacher, Yayoi Yuri. The Boueigar-turned-Grantops became Yoji's personal mecha.
;Goro Ishida
The very angry sixth grade class president of class 6-2 who has a serious disposition and a very dangerous and explosive temper. He is Saurer Jet's pilot.

;Takako Kojima
The "Professor" of the Saurers. Not only did she help develop Boueigar but she also writes the program for King Gosaurer. She is usually poised, but lashes out when she can't handle enough. She thinks failure can sometimes lead to success. Strangely enough, the code looks like Basic, so that may have helped. She also was the one who first worked out the functions of Gosaurer. She is the Kojima family cousin of Tsutomu Kojima, Jin Hyuga's classmate.
;Shuzo Osada
A boy who is very good with mechanical things. He helped with the design and construction of Boueigar. He seems to possibly be more than a friend with Takako, often helping her make stuff. His father seems to have some type of job involving into fixing cars.

;Harue Yamamoto
The third member of the female trio, her timidity seems to be expressed in her introvertedness. She is the tallest one in the class, and while Bon seemed to have a crush on her due to her wearing a red raincoat during a very rainy day and so, in the end it appeared to have amounted to nothing, plausibly leaving her as the only one of the three likely not to have a potential boyfriend.
;Akemi Sato
Also known as "One". The bright first-born of the Sato twins who talks a lot.
;Harumi Sato
Also known as "Two". The second-born of the Sato twins.
;Masao Fujiyoshi

A heavyset girl. She takes care of the class's pet, an iguana named Dai, and is kind to animals in general. She even rescued a stray cat who got caught inside Gosaurer when a battle began.

The Robots

Unlike the previous Eldran series' unit, both the Gosaurer and Magnasaurer are transformed by the school itself, rather than launched under the base of school/street, which means the facilities in school are usable, but also means that the armour are extremely weak.

Gosaurer

It is piloted by Goro Ishida. This form is the form Gosaurer takes when first launched. It is good for transportation but not much else, as the only weapons usable in this form are the Thunder Cannons, Jet Vulcan, and the Saurer Jet itself. Once it has reached its destination, it splits into its three components with the command "Saurer Formation."
It is piloted by Kenichi Minezaki. The first Dinosaur Robot, it is the only flight-capable component of the three. It mounts a pair of gatling guns on the wings called the Brit Vulcans and a pair of slicing blades called the Ptera Slicers. It becomes the arms and back of Gosaurer. The support crew for it are Masao, Yuka, Ikuyo, Takako, and Youji, until Gransaurer's debut.

It is piloted by Hiromi Tachibana. The second Dinosaur Robot, it can attack with spinning back plates called the Fin Cutters and with missile launchers on the sides of the head called the Stego Launchers. Its support crew is Saneyasu, Erika, Kumiko, Harue, and Taro, until Magnasaurer was found in a volcano. It becomes Gosaurer's main body.

It is piloted by the first female pilot, Shinobu Asaoka. The third Dinosaur Robot and its weapons are a gatling cannon inside the mouth called the Brachio Needle and the Thunder Cannons in its back. It can also withdraw the legs into the body and ram with hover jets. The support crew for this Robo are Kazutaka, Shuuzou, the twins Akemi and Harumi, and Goro. It becomes Gosaurer's legs.

When the command "Nekketsu Gattai" is given to the Commander unit, the three Dinosaur Robots merge into Gosaurer. The three pilots move to the head, where Kenichi seems to be the main pilot. The three command centers recombine into a new command center in the middle of Gosaurer's chest. Its attacks include:
A crystal is formed from the chest crystal, then punched at the enemy
It fires an energy beam form the chest crystal. The power magnifies underwater.
It summons the sword and the shield
It fires a beam from the fins on the shield
It fires blasts from the leg-mounted cannons
It throws the Saurer Shield in a boomerang-style attack
The finishing attack, utilizing the Saurer Blade

Taro Shirogane is the pilot of two forms, and this is the form it takes when the Saurer Jet splits with "Saurer Formation". Its attacks are simple: Tyranno Fire fires a blast of fire from its mouth, Tyranno Smasher is a pair of torso mounted laser cannons, and it bodily rams the enemy when performing Tyranno Smash.

The robot form. Its transformation command is "Nekketsu Shinka", or Hot-Blooded Evolution. It has:
Its own sword
It fires blasts from the arm cannons
It forms a crystal from its chest crystal, which it then throws at the enemy like an American football

The equipment mode. When the command "Nekketsu Bussou" or Hot-Blooded Armament is given, it can combine with Gosaurer to allow use of the finishing move "Saurer Big Buster", firing a huge blast from the cannons. It also is this mode initially during launch, as a part of the Saurer Jet. When it is not engaging in battles, it was the part of the school which the stairs, as well as the cookery located.
The name of the robot is Buster Gosaurer.Buster Gosaurer changes to Super Saurer Jet.

Yoji Hiyama is the single pilot who controls all of the three forms. This is the Dinosaur mode of Gransaurer, and the initial mode it is gained in. It has several attacks in this mode:
Its attack with the horns which can be launched and are attached to wires
An attack of fire from the mouth
A missile spread fired from the launchers on the side
Energy blast from the horns

The initial form of Gransaurer during launch. This mode is pretty much just good for transportation, and has one attack: Gran Launcher, which launches a spread of missiles.

When Youji gives the command "Nekketsu Shinka," or Hot-Blooded Evolution, to his Commander unit, Gransaurer transforms to robot mode. In this mode it has access to the following attacks:
It fires a missile spread like those above
It summons its polearm weapon
It forms a crystal form its chest crystal, then throws it at the enemy like a boomerang
Gransaurer's solo finishing move, using its polearm

The combination of Gosaurer, Magnasaurer and Gransaurer into a single, powerful robot. It requires all the Saurers to be on board to commence the merge, and Kenichi, Taro and Yoji must all give the command "Chou Nekketsu Gattai" simultaneously to their Commander units. It can use the following attacks:
It releases fire from the Triceratops head on the chest, can also use an energy blast variant called the King Titan
It fires the foot cannons from Magnasaurer
It fires a missile swarm form the shoulder launchers
It summons the sword
The finishing move, using the King Blade
In last episode it can further combine with the every part of the school which extra amour are placed on King Gosaurer, while the usable armaments are reduced to King Blade. The unit itself is called Gakuenger.
