Nellimukal


Nellimukal is a small village located in Kerala, India. This village is part of Adoor Thaluk and comes under Pathanamthitta district. Its nearest town is Adoor which is about 5 km away.

Etymology

'NELLI' in Malayalam means "Phyllanthus emblica". The name is so because this area had a large number of Phyllanthus emblica trees but now due to rubber plantation it does not.

Geography

This village has beautiful farm land. The plants or trees grown in farm are coconut, banana, tapioca, Amorphophallus paeoniifolius, etc. A state highway connecting Adoor to Chavara passes through this village.

Govt.LPS nellimukal is the main education institution in this village.
