Nemo Rangers GAA


Nemo Rangers Hurling and Football Club is a Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club on the southside of Cork city, Ireland. The club was founded in 1922 and is primarily concerned with the game of Gaelic football, though interest in hurling has escalated in recent years.

History

Nemo Rangers Hurling and Football Club was founded in 1922 following the amalgamation of two Cork clubs – Nemo and Rangers. Within six years the new club made their mark winning the county Intermediate Hurling and Football Championships in 1928, a feat that has never been equalled. Since then 'Nemo' have become most notable as a football club. They are the most successful club in the history of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship, having won the competition a record seven times since its inception in 1971. It has close links with nearby boy's secondary school, Coláiste Chríost Rí.
Their current football manager is Paul O'Donovan.
