Nepal Engineering Council
Nepal Engineering Council is an independent government body to regulate engineering practices in Nepal. The council used to register based on certificates until 2019. In December 2019, a bill was amended which makes mandatory to take professional exams from the council to get practising license; the exam is conducted twice a year. As of 2020, there are 35 engineering field for which liscnese are issued.Councilors
Nepal Engineering Council has the following Councilors:
- Three engineers appointed by the government of Nepal
- President of Nepal Engineers Association
- Five engineers elected from Nepal Engineering Association
- One member from Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University
- one campus chief from various engineering colleges

- Two members elected by the council
