New York's 25th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Senator Velmanette Montgomery since 2013; Montgomery has represented the area, under different district numbers and lines, since 1985. District 25 is currently the most Democratic-leaning district in the State Senate.Geography
District 25 covers a stretch of eastern and north-central Brooklyn, including the neighborhoods of Fort Greene, Boerum Hill, Red Hook, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Sunset Park, Gowanus, and Park Slope.
The district overlaps with U.S. congressional districts 7, 8, 9, and 10, and with New York State Assembly districts 43, 50, 51, 52, 54, 55, 56, and 57.2020
