New York City ePrix


The New York City ePrix is an annual race of the single-seater, electrically powered Formula E championship held in Brooklyn, New York. The inaugural event, the 2017 New York City ePrix, was a two-race event on July 15–16, 2017.

2018

The venue is expanded from 2017 and the track covers 2.373km with 14 corners, with viewing from grandstands and expecting 80,000 attendees. The NYPD will close off selected streets surrounding the Ferry Slip from Van Brunt St to all vehicle traffic and PANYNJ Police will provide additional coverage for the waterways and venue. All drop-off and ride-share will be from designated area E4 and a free shuttle runs from Barclays Center and the
NYCT 'F' line station at Smith St.
Citibike will provide additional pickups at the bike stand located on Commerce and Van Brunt Street to enable more bikes access to the event. There are additional Citibike stations at Pioneer st and Van Brunt. A free bicycle Valet Service at e4 is also available where Bicyclists can use the service throughout event hours.
Regular B61 Bus to Williamsburg and Greenpoint via Park Slope will run on Van Brunt st.
LIRR has special pricing for tickets to Atlantic Terminal where free shuttles will connect to the bus shuttle drop off point at Dikeman & Ferris Street and use the E1 entrance. Shuttles run from 7am-7pm with shuttles to the venue ending at 3pm.
Water access to the ferry slip is expected to bring attendees from lower Manhattan and Greenpoint, the venue is next to the Brooklyn Cruise terminal and entrance E2 is the ferry dock at Pier 11.
Wheelchair access is provided at a dedicated ADA platform in the E-Village at Turn 9, and there is an ADA section at the front of both Grandstands 1A & 2. There is an ADA accessible elevator at the bridge crossing the track near Pioneer street as well as track crossings each day at designated times. Each restroom is also ADA accessible. Attendees in wheelchairs whom arrive by public transport are counseled to use sidewalks to enter the track using entrance E4 which is at the intersection of Bowne and Imlay Street.
There is no parking available around the venue and all traffic will be kept moving, arrive early as security searches will be in operation. Attendees are not allowed to bring food or drink into the venue but there will be ample food and drink available from vendors in the alliance village and hydration and first aid stations are placed around the track area. Non-alcoholic liquids up to 500ml are allowed, one bottle per person. Travel light as it speeds up security.

Allianz E-Village

The Allianz E-Village is an enclosed festival for entertainment booths and simulators for race fans featuring face painting for kids.
The driver autograph session is held here to allow fans to meet the drivers, where cutting edge electric & hybrid vehicles from Audi, Jaguar and BMW i are displayed,
Gaming simulators give gamers opportunity to compete against real Formula E drivers in the E-Race zone.
There are autograph sessions where drivers meet the fans before the race.
Tech innovations from sponsors are hosted at booths covering new technology, transportation updates and human resources
Live music featuring The Hudson Project, Breanna Barbara, Ryan Lawler and more on stage.
Authentic local food and drink samples from vendors in the Taste Zone make the Recharge stations a respite to get electronics going again.
There is a place for Kids in a dedicated Zone with face painting, giant games, entertainers and more.

Circuit

The race is on the Brooklyn Street Circuit, an enclosed track that has a bridge crossing the track and 2 grandstands along with the Allianz Village.
