Nicole Schwägli
Nicole "Nici" Schwägli is a Swiss curler from Rubigen. She is the former lead for the Alina Pätz rink and with this rink won the 2015 World Women's Curling Championship.Career
Juniors
Schwägli won a gold medal representing Switzerland at the 2005 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival, playing second for Michèle Jäggi. The team would represent Switzerland at the 2006 World Junior Curling Championships, where they would finish in fourth place overall. They would again represent Switzerland at the 2008 World Junior Curling Championships, finishing in sixth place.Schwägli would join the Pätz rink in 2013, playing second for one season, before changing positions to lead. The team would represent Switzerland at the 2015 World Women's Curling Championship, where they lost just one game en route to a gold medal performance. They would represent Switzerland at the 2015 European Curling Championships, finding less success, placing just sixth place. The team returned to the World Championships in 2017, placing 8th. After the team didn't win the Swiss Championship in 2018, the Pätz rink disbanded as Schwägli and teammates Marisa Winkelhausen and Nadine Lehmann wanted to step back from competitive curling.Personal life
