Odisha Tennis Premier League


The Odisha Tennis Premier League m pursuant to sponsorship agreements with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and NTPC Limited, is an Indian team tennis league that takes place in Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar. The elite level exhibition tennis tournament took place for the first time in July 2017.

History

Odisha Tennis Premiere League flyer was inaugurated by Dinabandhu Mohapatra, Managing Director of the Bank of India along with Mr. Debi Prasad Dash, IRS, Director General, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and Dr. BN Nanda, Senior Economic Adviser, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India on 14 July 2017.
Odisha's Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, unveiled the logo and the apparel announced the founding of the International Premier Tennis League on 18 August 2017, in New Delhi.
The plan of having 8 franchises from across Odisha came into existence to start the league in full swing with the inaugural season commencing in November 2017. Diiip Mohanty said that the premier league aims to enhance the tennis scenario in the state and develop upcoming talents.
