Olaf Schaftenaar
Olaf Schaftenaar is a Dutch professional basketball player for Bàsquet Girona of the LEB Plata. He played collegiately with Oregon State before returning to the Netherlands to play professionally.College career
He was a four year player at Oregon State. In his senior year, he averaged 6.4 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.On 19 September 2016, Schaftenaar signed with Landstede Basketbal. He was named DBL Rookie of the Year after the 2016–17 DBL regular season.
In his second season, Schaftenaar and Landstede started the season by winning the Dutch Supercup on 5 October 2017. On 1 June 2019, Schaftenaar won the DBL championship with Landstede, the first in club history.
On 4 June 2019, Schaftenaar signed with Real Canoe of the Spanish LEB Oro for the 2019–20 season.
On 23 July 2020, Schaftenaar signed with Bàsquet Girona.Personal life
Olaf is the younger brother of Oregon State alum and professional player Roeland Schaftenaar.
