Olorua
Olorua is an uninhabited island of the Lau Archipelago in the Eastern Division of Fiji. The island has an area of and rises to 50 metres above sea level. It is located 8.0 nautical miles northwest of Komo, the nearest inhabited island. It was recently featured on a Discovery Channel survival series, in which a former British Army Officer, Ed Stafford, spent 60 days naked and alone on the island.
The island itself is rarely visited by local tribes and typically has a warm climate.
The wildlife on and around the island ranges from crabs, sharks to geckos and lizards. There is also a small group of goats on the island left by the people of the Komo clan, the biggest neighbouring Island. The goats are left there for because they maintain their population on the island without intervention of men. Only during festivities a goat is taken during the night by shining a flashlight to them so they freeze.
On the island there is small range of trees that grow there such as coconut and palm trees.
Due to heavy pollution of the sea the shores are littered with plastic bottles and trash.
