North Island
. It
flows
generally
north
from several
streams
with
origins
northwest
of
Paparoa
,
reaching
the
Manganui River
20 kilometres
northeast
of
Ruawai
.
The
New Zealand Ministry for Culture and Heritage
gives
a
translation
of "place of shelter" for
Ōmaru
.
