Orange-billed lorikeet
The orange-billed lorikeet is a species of parrot in the family Psittaculidae.
It is found in New Guinea.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.There are three subspecies of this parrot:
- N.p. pullicauda,
- N.p. alpinus,
- N.p. socialis
Diet
It feeds on pollen, nectar, flowers, fruits and uncommonly seeds.Reproduction
Its breeding season is in October. It lays eggs in clutches of 2 eggs.
