Oscar Turner (1867–1902)


Oscar Turner was a U.S. Representative from Kentucky, son of Oscar Turner.
Born in Woodlands, Kentucky, Turner attended the public schools of Washington, D.C., and Louisville Rugby School. He studied law at the University of Louisville, and graduated from the University of Virginia in 1886. He was admitted to the bar and commenced practice in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1891.
Turner was elected as a Democrat to the Fifty-sixth Congress. He declined to be a candidate for renomination in 1900. He resumed the practice of law. He died in Louisville, Kentucky, July 17, 1902. He was interred in Cave Hill Cemetery.
