PM2FGG, on-air name Jak 101 FM or Jak FM, is an adult contemporary radio station in Jakarta, Indonesia. In 2015, Jak FM held 6% radio market share. The radio company, PT Suara Irama Indah, was the first commercial FM radio station in the country.

History

Suara Irama Indah era

After Elshinta Radio was bought in the late 1970s, Soejoso Karsono created Radio Suara Irama Indah. Sudibyo Karsono also contributed to Irama Indah radio. Later the radio changed into B-FM and Radio One in the late 1990s.

Radio One

Radio One started broadcasting in the late 1990s. This radio's audience was young adults, playing classical music. With affiliation to Prambors group in the late 1990s, Radio One was partially owned by Masima Group along with sister station Prambors, Delta FM, Female Radio, Bahana 101.8, M97FM and SPFM. Radio One once had provincial stations, but they were sold to Masima to create Prambors provincial stations. In 2007, this affiliation led to ownership of Masima Group's 20% share by Mahaka Group. In 2004, the 101.0 FM frequency was first time used, after using 101.25 FM for over a decade. In 2006, management decided to change Radio One branding into 101 Jak FM. Ownership was overtaken by Mahaka group and now they are the sole operators.

Jak FM

Jak FM changed the branding only. Neither DJ's nor music was altered from Radio One. To cater younger and more varied listeners, Jak FM later added new music, mostly Western music. Jak FM slowly reduced classic hits and added new announcers, including morning show DJ Ronal Surapradja and Tike Prie.
