Paca Paca Passion

Paca Paca Passion is a series of rhythm video games developed by Produce! and Namco in Japan only. The first entry in the series, Paca Paca Passion, was released in arcades in November 1998 and received a release on the PlayStation a year later in 1999, while the final game, Paca Paca Passion Special, was released in December 1999 and given a PlayStation port in 2002. A series of soundtrack CDs were released during the game's release.

Gameplay

The player can select four different instruments to use; guitar, keyboard, piano and drums, represented by four colored buttons on the control panel. The player must simply press the correct button when the note onscreen lands on the cursor according to the stage's selected song. The goal of each stage is to earn money from playing the stage's song. If the player misses a note, then the amount of money received at the end of the stage will be reduced. The player will move on to the next stage if he or she earns more than 70% of the money; however if the player did not earn more than 70% of the money, then the game will be immediately over, which means that the player can still pass the stage even if the amount of notes missed was large.
