Pacifique Niyongabire


Pacifique Niyongabire, is a Burundian-Australian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Adelaide United.

After impressing head coach Marco Kurz while playing for Adelaide United Youth in the Y-League, Niyongabire made his professional debut in a Round 16 clash against Sydney FC, replacing Mark Ochieng in the 80th minute in a 0–0 draw. On 6 March 2018, he signed a -year scholarship contract with the club.

Personal life

Niyongabire was born in war-torn Burundi, and spent his early childhood in Tanzania. At the age of 7, his family migrated to Australia.
Niyongabire's older brother, Elvis Kamsoba, currently plays for Melbourne Victory and the Burundi national football team.
