Padang Lalang (state constituency)


Padang Lalang is a state constituency in Penang, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Penang State Legislative Assembly.
The state constituency was first contested in 1986 and is mandated to return a single assemblyman to the Penang State Legislative Assembly under the first-past-the-post voting system., the state assemblywoman for Padang Lalang is Chong Eng from the Democratic Action Party, which is part of the state's ruling coalition, Pakatan Harapan.

Definition

The Padang Lalang constituency contains the polling districts of Kampong Cross Street 1, Station Road, High School, Bukit Kechil, Desa Damai, Taman Keenways and Taman Binjai. It covered the western part of the Bukit Mertajam and several residential hubs around Sungai Rambai, Song Ban Kheng Road, Kota Permai and Taman Sri Rambai.
