Page One (Steven Page album)

Page One is an album by Steven Page. It is his third full-length release outside of Barenaked Ladies, and both his second album as the featured performer, and his second album for which he was billed in his own name. It is his first solo album of original material since his departure from Barenaked Ladies in February 2009.
Page One includes seven songs composed by Page with longtime collaborator Stephen Duffy and a pair of songs with first-time collaborator Craig Northey of The Odds who participated in each of the Barenaked Ladies' first three Ships and Dip cruises. The remaining three songs on the album were composed solely by Page. Similar to the release of A Singer Must Die, the first 200 CD copies sold on Page's official website would be autographed, and the first 100 vinyl copies would be autographed.

Release date

The original release date of Page One was slated for September 28, but was delayed to October 19, 2010. Although the release date was changed, some stores did not receive the memo, and Rhapsody even put the album up for download 21 days before its planned release, where it still remains available for purchase.

Singles

The first single from the album was "Indecision". The single was released for purchase on iTunes as well as on Page's website on July 27, 2010; the single peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart. The music video debuted on October 9, 2010.
The second single from the album was "Over Joy". No video was made for the song.

Commercial performance

Page One peaked at number 58 on the Canadian Albums Chart. It did not make the Billboard 200 chart in the United States; however, it did peak at number 6 on the Heatseekers Albums Chart.
It also finished in third place on CBC Radio 2's "Top Canadian Albums of 2010", as voted by the station's listeners.
