Panchajani


In Hindu mythology, Panchajani is a goddess, and the mother of many gods and goddesses. She is one of the wives of the god Daksha.

Etymology

Panchajaniʻs name means "made of five elements".

Mythology

's son Dakṣa married Panchajani. Their sacred union produced many daughters and sons. Dakṣa asked his sons to create more living beings.
The most famous daughters of Panchajani are Aditi, Diti, Kṛttikā and Rohinī.
