Panthera onca augusta, commonly known as the Pleistocene jaguar or simply the giant jaguar, is an extinct subspecies of the jaguar that was endemic to North America during the Pleistocene epoch.

Fossils have been uncovered across the US; in west coast, Adams County, Washington, Fentress County, Tennessee, Franklin County, Tennessee, Hamilton County, Tennessee, Monroe County, Tennessee, Van Buren County, Tennessee, Oregon
In west, fossil distribution ranged from Pennsylvania to Florida.
