Parotodus
Parotodus, the false-toothed mako, is an extinct genus of mackerel shark belonging to the family Otodontidae.This genus is known in the fossil records from the Eocene to the Quaternary. Fossils are found in the marine strata of Italy, Madagascar, Spain, Egypt, Japan, Malta and United States.Species within this genus include:
