Patiala Babes
Patiala Babes was an Indian drama television series starring Paridhi Sharma, Ashnoor Kaur, Aniruddh Dave, Saurabh Raj Jain and Saisha Bajaj. This series is created by Katha Kottage and produced by Rajita Sharma and Vivek Budakoti. Patiala Babes is dubbed in Tamil as Pavithra on Polimer TV.
The series halted on 27 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis and later was announced in April to be not brought back thus being abruptly cancelled.
Overview
Season 1 focused on the lives of Babita and her daughter, Mini. It is always said that a mother is responsible for the growth of her daughter. She being the one who teaches us how to walk. In this story, it is the daughter who gives her mother wings to fly, be independent and be self-reliant. Giving her mother all the freedom, often situations like facing society arises. Whether it is getting divorced or getting married the second time to Hanuman Singh, her former landlord. Mini, daughter of Babita, helped her remarry and become Babita Hanuman Singh. Post-marriage, the show focused on how Babita, Mini and Hanuman together solve all problems that come on their way.In the Season 2, this serial focuses on the character of Mini and her half-sister Arya who is daughter of Babita and Hanuman Singh. It shows how a teenager Mini who does not know how to handle kids, tries to share a bond with her sister Arya, who at first hates Mini, but later likes her. She shares many happy and sad moments with Arya..Her life takes a turn when Neil Oberioi enters her life. She starts liking him but learns his shocking past which breaks her away!

Production
On 24 October 2019, news came that leads Paridhi Sharma and Aniruddh Dave, were asked to leave the show overnight after the makers decided to bring Season 2 and leap the storyline by five years. Saurabh Raj Jain was cast as the lead Neil post leap in December 2019.On 27 March 2020, owing Covid-19 pandemic, the series was temporarily halted as the shootings were stalled. However, in April 2020, on mutual agreement between the makers and channel, it was decided to terminate the series abruptly. Producer Rajita Sharma stated, "Ours was always a finite series, but unfortunately we are unable to shoot the remaining episodes because of the lockdown. None of us know when we will be in a position to resume shooting. So, it was a mutual decision to pull it off air."
