Patrick McNaughton


Patrick McNaughton is an American art historian and professor emeritus at Indiana University,. A graduate of University of California, Los Angeles and Yale University, McNaughton specializes in the field of African art history. Much of his research stems from early field work in Mali. He taught at Indiana University from 1983 until his retirement in 2017. He attained the rank of Chancellor's Professor and served as department chair.
He is also a published author and was honored as a Winthrop Rockefeller Distinguished Lecturer at University of Arkansas in 1997.
