Paul Bristow


Paul Bristow is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as Member of Parliament for Peterborough since the 2019 general election.

Early life

Paul Bristow was born in March 1979 in York, North Yorkshire. He is the son of Alan Bristow, who was also a Conservative politician active in local politics. Bristow studied politics at university. He previously worked for former MP Richard Spring.

Political career

Bristow has been a councillor on the Hammersmith and Fulham Council. Bristow stood for the seat of Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland in the 2010 general election, coming in second place with 35.6% of the vote. In 2019, he stood for the seat of Peterborough, winning it from incumbent Lisa Forbes who had won the seat in the 2019 by-election after the former MP Fiona Onasanya was recalled by her constituents. He won a majority of 5.4%, representing a swing of 3.3%.
