Pauline Tully Pauline TullySinn Féin politician who has been a Teachta Dála for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency since the 2020 general election .Cavan County Council for the Ballyjamesduff Electoral Area , a seat she retained from 1999 until 2012 when she resigned to provide care for her children .Tully grew up on a farm in Kilnaleck , County Cavan , where she still lives to this day.She teaches history at Breifne College. Tully was in an abusive marriage with former IRA member Pearse McAuley . She survived being stabbed by him 13 times on Christmas Eve 2014 in front of their two children after their separation ; he was found guilty and imprisoned in 2015 .
