Season 1 (2005–06)

Season 2 (2006)

• Ben gains access to two new aliens, whom he calls "Cannonbolt" and "Wildvine."
• An alternate reality is shown in which Gwen finds the Omnitrix instead of Ben.
• Eleven-year-old Kevin Levin returns and becomes a secondary archenemy to Ben.
• The master sorcerer Hex returns with his niece Charmcaster.
• Gwen reclaimed her "Lucky Girl" hero name after buying the Keystone of Bezel, which further increases her natural combative abilities to superhuman levels. The five Charms of Bezel are recreated but again destroyed.
• Ben's ninth alien form, Ghostfreak, turns rogue and attempts to become whole by taking the Omnitrix.
• Vilgax allies himself with Kevin and succeeds in removing the Omnitrix from Ben. However, Ben eventually regains the Omnitrix due to Gwen's quick thinking.

  Season 3 (2006–07)

• Ben and Gwen are thrown into an alternate future where they meet their future selves, with Gwen learning of her natural affinity to magic and mysticism.
• Charmcaster makes a comeback, after which Gwen takes her spellbook in the hope of developing and strengthening her own magical powers.
• Ben learns that the Omnitrix can obtain more DNA from other aliens via physical contact with it, and gains the forms Blitzwolfer, Snare-Oh, Frankenstrike, and Upchuck.
• The rogue Ghostfreak returns with a plan to acquire the Omnitrix and blanket Earth in eternal shadow.
• Max Tennyson's old extraterrestrial flame, Xylene, is revealed to have sent the Omnitrix to Earth, intending for it to go to Max for safekeeping, but was accidentally found by Ben.

  Season 4 (2007–08)

• Gwen Tennyson's magic aura changes from blue to light cyan
• One episode does not take place in the current timeline but rather the alternate future seen in "Ben 10,000"
• Ben gains two new alien forms: Ditto and Eye Guy.
• The ' movie is set as a three-part episode.
• The 3D computer-animated movie ' takes place one year after.
• The final 3 episodes of the season were broadcast in high-definition in the United States.
