Permatang Pasir (state constituency)


Permatang Pasir is a state constituency in Penang, Malaysia, that has been represented in the Penang State Legislative Assembly.
The state constituency was first contested in 1986 and is mandated to return a single Assemblyman to the Penang State Legislative Assembly under the first-past-the-post voting system., the State Assemblyman for Permatang Pasir is Faiz Fadzil from Parti Amanah Negara, which is part of the state's ruling coalition, Pakatan Harapan.

Definition

The Permatang Pasir constituency contains the polling districts of Sama Gagah, Permatang Ara, Permatang Pauh, Bukit Indra Muda, Kampong Pelet, Kubang Semang, Tanah Liat Mukim 8, Kampong Cross Street 2 and Permatang Tengah.
