Pete Birrell


Peter "Pete" Birrell is a former British pop musician.
Birrell was born in Wythenshawe, Manchester, Cheshire. Trained as an electrician, he played bass guitar in the group Freddie and the Dreamers, which had a number of hit records between 1963 and 1964.
After the Dreamers broke up, Birrell became the chauffeur to the Lord Mayor of Manchester until he retired. His son David Birrell is a stage actor.
