It occurs
metamorphic rocks
of the
greenschist
to
amphibolite
metamorphic facies
and in
low-temperature
hydrothermal
veins
in altered
volcanic rocks
. It also occurs in
metasomatized
deposits of
manganese ore
. Associated
minerals
include: epidote,
tremolite
,
glaucophane
,
orthoclase
,
quartz
and
calcite
.
