Pileru


Pileru is a census town in Chittoor district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is the mandal headquarters of Pileru mandal in Madanapalle revenue division It passes through a river and hence it got the name Pileru. In the local language Pilla Eru literally translates to A small water stream.

Transport

Pileru is located on the junction point of National Highway 40 , halfway between Rayachoty and Chittoor and National Highway 71, halfway between Tirupati and Madanapalle. Pileru railway station is situated on Dharmavarm - Pakala Branch line. Daily train services are available to Tirupati, Guntakal and Hyderabad.
