She is also a member of the university's council, and a fellow and director of studies at Gonville and Caius College, where she now serves as Master, succeeding Sir Alan Fersht.

She became a fellow of Caius in 1989 and was awarded her PhD in 1990 for a thesis entitled Intangible property in the conflict of laws.
In May 2017 the college announced that Rogerson was elected the next master of Caius, succeeding Sir Alan Fersht when he retired at the end of September 2018. She is the college's first female master, and was installed as such on 1 October 2018 in a special evensong service in the college chapel.
