The racial makeup of Plainview was 358 White, 8 African American, 20 Native American, 2 Asian, 0 Pacific Islander, 517 from other races, and 40 from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 865 people.
The whole population lived in households, no one lived in non-institutionalized group quarters and no one was institutionalized.
