Point of View (non-governmental organisation)
Point of View is a non-profit organisation based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Its co-founder and director is Bishakha Datta. Sexuality, Gender and Rights: Exploring Theory and Practice in South and Southeast Asia informs that the organisation aims "to promote the pins of view of women through a creative and sustained use of media, art and culture. It co-produces a newsletter Veshyas, Vamps, Whores and Women. In 2003 it designed an academic programme to understand the dynamics of the use of women in advertising. It bemoaned the westernised look of women used by the Indian media sampling 200 advertisements for products ranging from "cosmetics to cars".
Nidhi Goyal is the organization's Sexuality and Disability Program Director.
