Polish Language Council


The Council for the Polish Language is the official language regulating organ of the Polish language. It was established by the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences pursuant to Resolution No. 17/96 of 9 September 1996.
The council is composed of 36 members, including linguists, scientists, other specialists. It is tasked with advisory duties.
The council’s activities are outlined in the Polish Language Act of 1999.
