Popovo Municipality Popovo Municipality municipality in Targovishte Province , Northeastern Bulgaria , located in the eastern part of the Danubian Plain . It is named after its administrative centre - the town of Popovo.territory of 833 km² with a population of 31,479 inhabitants, as of December 2009 .
