  Continuity

• Victoria Waterfield was a companion of the Second Doctor, leaving with him after her father was killed. They met in 1866, in the story Evil of the Daleks. Eventually she settled down in the 20th Century, at the end of the story, Fury from the Deep.
• The Terrible Zodin, referenced in this story, is a villain that has never been seen, but has been previously mentioned by the Second Doctor, and the Sixth Doctor and other Doctors and companions in various spin-off media.
